Chicago inks Brian Campbell for 8 years $ 56.8 million
The Blackhawks have made one of the biggest splashes among free agency as they reportedly signed highly coveted defenseman Brian Campbell to an eight-year, $56.8 million free-agent contract Tuesday.
According to TSN, Campbell, has long been coveted by Hawks GM Dale Tallon, will bring his puck-moving skills to the United Center. He’s expected to quarterback the Hawks’ power play. Campbell had eight goals and 54 assists while splitting time with the Buffalo Sabres and San Jose Sharks last season.
