Bruins Buy Out Glen Murray
Following the buyout, Murray becomes an unrestricted free agent
BOSTON, MA – Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has bought out the final year of right-winger Glen Murray’s contract. Chiarelli will speak with the media via conference call today, Saturday, July 26 at 3:00 p.m. ET.
In his 16-season NHL career, Murray played 1,009 regular season games while dressing for three clubs (two stints with Boston, the Los Angeles Kings and the Pittsburgh Penguins). Overall, he scored 337 goals, added 314 assists and earned a career +/- of 14. Following the buyout, Murray becomes an unrestricted free agent and can sign with any other NHL team.
